Summary:

The chief movements of the courtship behaviour of the three forms of the genus Phoenicopterus are described. The differences in the performace of the movements are very slight in ruber and roseus, while chilensis is clearly distinguished from both by its behaviour. Therefore the classificantion of ruber and roseus as one species (ruber) and of chilensis is proposed.
